Ravello Attractions

The 11th Century cathedral in Piazza Duomo houses an imposing marble pulpit and a museum. Above this piazza is the Villa Rufolo, once the home of Wagner and from who’s terrace, have some of the most impressive views of the bay. The villa gardens host concerts during the Ravello Music Festival. Another villa to visit is Villa Cimbrone.

You can visit some of the local vineyards such as Vini Sammarco and Casa Vinicola Caruso or Giardini di Ravello and Profumi di Ravello where Limoncello, the local liquer is produced.

Ravello Events

From March to October Ravello has a programme of classical music, which features in July the Ravello Music Festival (Festivale Musicale di Ravello). International orchestra’s and performers exhibit at this festival.

Also in July there is the festival of San Pantaleon, Ravello’s patron saint, which is celebrated by fireworks and fun on the street.

Ravello has a typically Mediterranean, mild in the winter and very warm in the summer. The average temperatures in winter is 13°C while in the summer, 23°C, with the warmest months being July and August.
